Study some physical and chemical properties of Khor Al-Zubair Lagoon

The Physical-chemical properties of water in khor Al-Zubair channel was studied during along year 2014.The current study included measurements of (pH ,Ec ,Salinity, temperature ,DO., Turbidity, Sulfate, nitrite, nitrate,&phosphate)at two stations . The results revealed that the averages of pH values of both stations ranged between (7-8.9).Values of salinity increased in station(B).Temperature increase gradual in summer directly related to atmospheric conduction and radiation.DO concentrations low in summer.Concentrations of other parameters were variable during the whole study period. In addition, the highest concentrations of nitrate in station (B) were high12.45 mg/l. Sulfate was recorded the highest value during September in station(B) which is 1089.45 mg/l. Because of the presence of industrial pollutants the turbidity is high in station (B) than in (A ).Flushing time was found 6 days.

Begging in the governorate of Basrah: Islamic perspective

The Islamic law motivates Muslims on actions and production so that every Muslim can provide his own needs from his job and career. Begging phenomenon spread enormously in cities, streets and markets of Basrah governorate. This phenomenon has a complex and dangerous dimensions so this paper attempts to shed some lights on begging and the fact of its existence in Basrah. It also tries to identify its causes and effects as well as briefly introduces the rules about begging in Islamic law. In the end, the paper in hand, suggested treatments for this risky phenomenon.

Problems of Foundation Design in the City of Qurna

The design foundation is a framework prepared on time may reach in some cities to fifty years in order to accommodate the variables of space for the city and its community and region. The design is a plan to develop the city through achieving a set of goals which designed by the planners and approved by the relevant authorities, to become law binding implementation. The main purpose of forming the design is attempting to control the growth of the city, and trends in that growth as it accommodates the nature of social, economic and cultural changes. As well as some changes in land uses which may be expected to occur suddenly. The study dealt with the study of the basic designs for the city of Qurna, then it studied the most important pros and cons in these designs. The paper also examined a comparative study of land uses in the city between the first two designs 1982 and 1992. The research ended with conclusions and recommendations.

Studying of the erosion operations which effects on forming bends in Shatt al-Arab's channels

This paper deals with some river erosions which are represented by the Hydrostatic and mechanical sculpture which effectively contributed in formation of river bends in Shatt al-Arab's channels. The research was based on method of laboratory scientific analysis especially conducted in the laboratories of the South Oil Company, B.P company as well as laboratories of Marine Science Center. It also based on the applied field study in addition to Arab and foreign scientific sources. Water samples were compared before and after passage of ships through Shat Al-Arab for the purpose of identifying the intensity and activity Hydrostatic sculpture on the banks. Then, the research analyzed the type of minerals present in Shatt al-Arab waters as suspended material where their numbers and sizes were calculated in a sample estimated at (7, 0) milliliters. The paper then identifies quality of those metals and their degree of hardness and impact in mechanical sculpting process. It turned out that sculptures contribute significantly to the formation of the bends of the Shatt al-Arab stream.

The musical forms in Sadi yusif`s poetry

The Study of music for any poets considers as evolving in the wide domain of the given poet because as we studied that domain, we can expand chains of meeting with the poet`s own poetic experience that we can`t simply catch it without the given domain. Saadi Youssef can expand his hand to what is called the dramatic structure in his poem through his affirmation on the poetic rhymes which reveal the deep internal text by utilizing chains of texts which arrive him to what is called the dramatic literature. His musical forms are varied to extent that he didn`t leave any pattern that the modern poetry has, starting from his using of the mono-rhythm, passing to the bi-rhythm, to end with the variation among the mixed rhythms in order to produce a new poem which exploiting the rhythm to reveal about what it involves.

Structure of the poem in poetry of Kathem Al-Hajjaj’s Ghazala Al-Saba

The Poet Kazim Al-Hajjaj is one of the prominent poets who were born in Basrah city after the pioneer generation. He has his unique style in production of his poems. The present paper attempts to shed a light on the structural features for the poetic text which is produced by Al-Hajjaj. This paper adopted his poems in Ghazala Al-Saba as model to investigate the structure of his poems.

Understanding of deviation in the question structure in Albeean wel Tabeen in light of "Conversational Implicature" theory

The conversational Implicature has three meaning used by researchers which are: a linguistic theory looks for the hidden significance, a linguistic phenomenon in dialogues and a hidden meaning related with obvious one. This paper collects all the three meanings in a single vision. Then, it studies the deviation in the question structure Al-Jahiz Albeean wel Tabeen by using principles of conversational Implicature theory which helps in understanding meanings of question. The paper shows some deviations from Principle of co-operation and other principles which the given theory involves such as: Principle of quantity; Principle of relevance/ relation and Principle of manner. Then the researcher decided not to abide by these principles in the definition of Implicature in the statements which include: Intimidation, Mockery, Certainty, Concealment, and the ability to act.

Intertextuality in poetry of Ismail Al-Hamdawi

This paper studies the I Intertextuality in poetry of Ismail Al-Hamdawi who is well known for his satirical poems such as (Tilsan ibn Harb, and Shaat Saeed) and other themes from two sides: theoretical as well as applied side. In the theoretical part, the paper presents a brief introduction about concept of Intertextuality from western and Arabic critical perspectives and what is related with that concept in our ancient criticism.
In the applied side, the paper studies Intertextuality in poetry of Al-Hamdawi by activating religious, historical, literary as well as philosophical texts as a part of the cultural tradition which interferes with the original poetic text and its artificial and ideological function in addition to how harmonious of these intertextualities with the poetic context in terms of its shape and content.
The present paper deals with two aims which are bringing life back to this kind of poetry and mentioning the intertextualities in his poems which reflects the richness of his poetic experience.
